Quite often we have clients that find the perfect house in the perfect area that is in need of a complete remodel to suit their growing needs. This detached home had the right ‘feel’ for our client's and was the perfect candidate to start with our spatial planning service. With our proven track record with this type of project Lime is ideally positioned to help optimise the layout of this large home, giving each and every room a purpose. The end to end build was completed in around 12 months. The design planning, preparation of the final scheme with the planning application was 6 months in the making.

Exterior works included, new windows throughout and front door, new roof, extension, veranda and pergola & electric privacy gates.

The existing space was poorly utilised. An existing glass connection from the main home to the coach house was cold in winter, hot in warmer months and not soulless. Even with larger properties like this we need to consider a well placed extension to help make sense of the overall footprint. We added a very small infill extension, making the kitchen / diner / family room and glass day room the new hub of the home. The kitchen itself boasts a beautiful apex window.

Our clients were very clear on likes and dislikes. Once the new spaces were proposed, designed and agreed, filling the spaces with individual ideas and the overall styling was a joy. We used bold colours, panelling and wallpapers, retaining the original features and enhancing the spaces with subtle complementary changes resulting in a truly timeless scheme.
